Also known as Tsubaki oil, is a natural oil used to prevent rust on carbon steel blades, like traditional Japanese blades. Apply camellia oil when you’re storing your blades for an extended period such as vacation. When storing the blades in a humid environment you may need to apply the camellia oil more frequently to help fight rust. Use a few drops of oil on your blade and apply evenly, making sure not to miss any spots. Wipe off residue with a soft towel.
